The reason for this blog is that one of my best friend’s daughter just celebrated her 12th birthday. Well, her mother wanted to throw her a birthday party. So, she got a DJ and set it up really nice she served finger foods and candy along with soda beverages.  This is the strange part; she was getting calls from some of the parents asking was there going to be alcohol served at the party???? “Whatttt alcohol my friend replied, No of course not, and laughed.” I think that would have thrown me for a loop as well. She is 12!! Have times change that drastically that you have to assume that a parent would allow alcohol at a birthday party?? My goodness! Children are defiantly growing up way to fast these days. I am surprised by what some of their conversations consist of. I know as parents we have to guard our children from this wicked world, but that starts with educating them and helping them make right decisions and have good judgment. When you have to question if there is alcohol at a party hmmm maybe you should get to know the parents before you consider sending your child to someone’s house. I mean…. I guess it’s not a bad thing to have asked, on the other hand it just shows how bad the world is getting. What do you think?
