Boy!! Was it nice to get away and have some R and A time (Ramel and Aisha). My husband and I went to LA for the weekend. Just the two of us and had a blast. We started our first morning at Magic Mountain, to release the kid in us
I used to be so fearless to get on those crazy rides, yet this time it was not the same. I was really scared
I felt like I was going to fly off of the roller coaster I kept thinking to myself, I have children to live for. I was screaming on one ride “I am too old for this.” My hubbie said I was starting to scare him.lol. All and all it was so much fun. That evening we ate at Houston’s on Ave of the Stars. Okay, if you have never eaten at Houston’s and there is one in our area you have got to go. I had the best steak that I have ever had in my life, and trust me, I know my food. When I travel I always try different restaurants. The only other steak I have had that was touching that one was in Avellino, Italy at a restaurant called El Borracho. Well, after dinner we went to catch a late movie we saw Pelham 123 with Denzel Washington, it was a very good movie for the parts I saw. I was exhausted by this time and I couldn’t keep my eyes open. The next day we went to the House of Blues to a gospel brunch. This was amazing the food was unreal, there was soooo much and a great variety, and to top it off the performances were terrific. So, we got our praise on! It was a blast. If you live in the LA area and have not experienced the Gospel brunch please go check it house. House of Blues, off the sunset strip. Oh yeah…… there was one thing that I left out, but it’s just a most every-time I pass LA or I am in LA and that is Rosco’s chicken and waffles we hit that up too. I know we ate a lot on this weekend getaway.lol. It is very important to spend quality time with your spouse, don’t forget to date each-other it keeps your relationship alive.
So, I am now back home and have a lot to do. I will be doing a book signing next month, I will keep you all posted. Smooches J for now. Aisha
