What a surprise!!!!! My terrific husband and loving mother, really out did them selves for me. They planed and beautiful party for me to celebrate my first book. So!!!! How did they get away with this???? As of right know, I have my husband’s family in from NY (our family) about 8 people to be exact. So, there is allot of in and out going on all day. Well, Saturday morning my husband tells me that we are going to take the guys out and chill for the day, and we were going to leave the kids and older folks at home. OK! So, I went along all day hanging out with them while they looked for sneakers and then went go cart driving. All along I’m thinking, you all could of have dropped me off at Barnes and noble, or Starbucks and I would be fine. After they were done hanging out, we were on our way home. My husband and I in one car, and our cousins following behind us in another. When we reached the last stop light at the corner of my house, my husband veered to the left and yelled out to the guys I’ll see you in a minute, and then blind folded me……. He said “ Now I have a surprise for you but you can’t see where were going”. I couldn’t help but to notice what direction we were headed in, I felt the right turn that was leading us to the direction of our home; but I kept quite. Then he said “okay, honey before we go on our getaway, I need you to go inside the house first, and then I will remove the blind fold”. When we entered the house, he took off my blind fold and I had rose petals going all the way up our stair -case leading me to my bathroom. There was a bubble bath with rose’s petals inside and candles lit with a glass of ice water with a lemon on the side, just the way I like it. As if that wasn’t already good enough he tells me to get in and enjoy myself as he plays our wedding song. Okay!!! now he got me crying I then laid in my bath water to relax, and about 30 minutes or so he came back and then said “know go into the room and get dressed“. I immediately got out and walk into my bedroom and I had roses all over the bed along with a purple dress, nice heels and jewelry to put on. He says “I’m taking you somewhere nice“. After I was all done up and ready to go, we walk down stairs and he says ooh hold on, as he is holding my hand,” I need to turn off the fountain outside.” So, as I am walking with him he opens the door and SURPRISE I have a beautiful set up in my own back yard it was the most beautiful occasion ever. It looked as if someone was going to get married; everything was in purple and gold in Honor of my book. I am truly blessed to have such a great husband and a wonderful mom. Thanks Sis for your hard work and to all my family members and friends who made that day so special for me… I love you……………………..Aisha
