Today was my third attempt to leave the country to visit my husband. The first day my flight was cancelled due to bad weather. The second attempt was Wednesday they said that I wasn’t going to be able to fly because my passport and my ticket had different last names. Okay! So, I have been traveling for three years in and out of the country and what I’ve been told to do is show my marriage license. However, I didn’t have it on me at this time. So, they re-booked my flight for today and told me to make sure I bring in my marriage certificate and everything would be fine. I forgot to mention that my two year old daughter was traveling with me. Okay! Now today I go back to the airport very confinement that I’m going to have no problems. Drum roll!!!!!!!!!!! Who was I kidding, when I arrived to check in and get my ticket the agent said ” excuse me I’ll be back” and I said “oh no worries I have my marriage license here with me today” She still told me to hold on, and then came back and said that I would not be able to board today. When I tried to explain to her that I was just there two days ago and that the staff told me to get my marriage license she said” well you won’t be flying today you have to change your name completely on your passport” So, then I tell her that I called passport services yesterday and they told me all I needed was my marriage license as well” I go on explaining to her that they need to have better communication going about. Why didn’t they tell me this on Monday or even Wed for that matter.  She then tells me to watch my tone while I’m talking to her. I said “Lady I am not yelling at you or cursing at you I am talking sternly because I am upset.” I then asked her to get me a supervisor she says she is the supervisor. I then look to the right and see one of the women who was there among the three people on Wed who told me to get my marriage license. I say to her excuse me but you were here Wed, you all told me that all I needed was a marriage license. She nodded her head yes and then that women came over to me and said. “You need to leave her alone she is busy helping another customer.”(With a nasty attitude) I go on asking for someone over her and she walks away. I am on fire at this point and I am in tears trying very hard not to snap on this woman and say something that I will regret later. My mother then takes over and I walk away. I went to find a police officer and explained to her what was going on. She was in complete shock that this woman was acting this way. On the other hand she couldn’t do much because she didn’t handle issues with the agents. So she went and got someone else to help out. He then goes to find out further what was going on, he comes back and tells me the same o thing. So, I go back to the women to find out at this point what will happen to my tickets and she says “I am done dealing with you” she then look behind me to a gentleman who was standing in line and says ” Sir I can help you, and told me to move.” I told her she should be ashamed of herself and left the airport. I left before I even got her name so my mother and I returned and I stayed in the car, my mom went back inside to get her name. My mom said she asked her what was her name and she replied Ashley my mom said what is your last name and she says Ashley that’s all you need to know. So! there you can see what kind of person I was dealing with here. When I got home I called down to the airlines and GUESS what next. They had me going on a flight that I was not aware of they told me a different arrival time and everything. Fresno International Airport!! I don’t think so. I ALWAYS have problems flying out of there. Leave the International to the big cities please. Fresno Airport I give it a big fat F… For lack of competence. Well I will try again in a day or so.
