Forgive me for being so late. My trip to Turkey started off crazy as you can read from my previous post. The good news is I did finally make it to Turkey and enjoyed myself. Whew! It was a long trip; I thought Israel was far it had nothing on Turkey. I had to board 4 planes and to top it off; once we (my two year old and I) arrived we had a 3hr drive ahead of us. A three hour drive, that soon turned into a 5 ½ hrs because of traffic. I had -had it by the time I got to Istanbul, Turkey I just wanted to cry I was tired- next time I will stay in a hotel and finish the journey the next day. Overall the city in which my husband will be living in is nice. I enjoyed it, there isn’t much to do but it is very livable and the people are very welcoming. Very different from most European Countries I have been to. Istanbul is ENOURMOUS there are an estimate amount 15 million people living in that city. I had never seen anything like it. There were miles and miles of apt buildings and houses clustered together. There is a lot of history surrounding this city unfortunately I didn’t do much of that on this trip, but I will be back a couple of times this year. Now, my husband insisted that I see this mall he had been talking about so we went and I was amazed. For those of you who know what Rodeo drive is in Beverly hills imagine that, that was on top of the Beverly Center (that’s a mall in Los Angeles) This Mall had five stories and once you reached the top level it was like all out doors with all the designer store Gucci, Prada, Fendi and so much more. There were upscale restaurants- it was spectacular. That has to be one of the best malls in the world.
So what else has been up? Let’s see I have been working on my Organization/? That I will unveil in a couple of days.
I became a member of a lovely Organization called the black doll affair and I love everything that they stand for. If you haven’t heard about it check it out. www.blackdollaffair.com They are supporting my book pretty for a black girl! I am so grateful. The founder of this Organization is a remarkable woman who I admire.
I got news from my biological father that I have not seen in 14years that he will be coming out to California to visit my sister and I. ( we do talk, we just have not seen one another face to face) So I am very excited about that.
I am thinking about starting a blog of (wife of a baller) and much more that I will fill you in on later.
